Why?
Our curriculum has been designed to help our learners develop the personal and social skills needed to help them to progress to independent living, future employment and further vocational study.
What?
Our learners practise skills and techniques to improve their organisation over a period of time. Our learners develop the skills and behaviours needed to progress to the next stage in their learning, identifying progression opportunities and creating a plan to enable them to get there. Our learners develop skills in communication, teamwork and problem solving that will enable them
to work effectively with other people on a given activity.
How?
Practical activities are used to help our learners develop core skills and understanding. They are given contexts and scenarios to help them develop skills and to acquire knowledge through their application. Learners will develop pre-employability skills and contextualised knowledge to allow them to progress to further learning and training and ultimately, to become successful in their chosen destination.
