Parental Engagement & Support Statement (2025 – 2026)

We recognise that strong parental engagement is central to an effective careers programme. Parents and carers play a vital role in supporting pupils to explore their options, develop aspirations and make informed decisions about their future education, training and employment pathways.

We are committed to maintaining clear, open and accessible communication between school and home. Information about our CEIAG curriculum, activities, events and resources is shared regularly, ensuring parents and carers are well informed and able to support their child’s careers journey.

We value the knowledge, experience and aspirations that parents and carers bring, and we actively encourage their involvement in shaping and supporting careers planning. Through ongoing engagement, we aim to ensure they feel confident in supporting discussions around pathways, opportunities and progression routes.

Regular updates from the Careers Team provide parents and carers with the information they need to support meaningful conversations at home about strengths, interests and future ambitions. We recognise careers education as a shared responsibility and believe that strong collaboration between school and home enhances pupil outcomes.

We also encourage parents and carers to engage in ongoing dialogue with their child about their goals and aspirations, reinforcing the work carried out through our CEIAG programme.

By working in partnership, we aim to ensure all pupils are supported to make informed, confident and ambitious decisions about their future, enabling them to progress successfully into further education, training or employment.
